We’re a small group of local travel writers and hospitality lovers based in South Florida. Now, we’re doing the same for where to stay — creating a curated hotel directory that highlights properties with real character, genuine hospitality, and true South Florida charm.
Why We Created SoFlo Stays
Most booking platforms are crowded with sponsored listings, generic descriptions, and reviews that don’t always reflect the real guest experience. We wanted to build a guide that cuts through the noise and focuses on hotels that actually deliver a memorable stay — from Art Deco gems in Miami Beach to peaceful coastal retreats in Naples and Key West.
Every hotel we feature is hand‑selected based on its atmosphere, location, amenities, and how well it captures the spirit of South Florida. Through our sister guides SoFlo Experiences and SoFlo Bites, we also highlight bookable excursions, water adventures, and neighborhood dining nearby, so you can plan your stay, meals, and adventures in one place.
Our Selection Criteria
We choose hotels based on three core pillars:
